Below is further information on the levels of classes available:

Beginner

Our Beginner class is generally for new dancers with little to no previous dance experience.  In this class, your dancer will learn the basics of Irish Dance and be taught the fundamentals and classic techniques that will be used throughout all levels of dance, including their 2 steps in a Reel and Light Jig; if they choose to compete, these will be the required dances they will have needed to master as a Beginner level dancer.

Advanced Beginner

In our Advanced Beginner class, students will learn more intricate dances and further develop their discipline as a dancer. Our advanced beginners learn Reels, Light Jigs, and Slip Jigs, and begin to understand the importance of timing, rhythm, and posture. In this class, students will also be taught the basics of hard shoe techniques and focus on learning a traditional set dance.

Intermediate Class

In our Intermediate Class, students learn even further intricate dances to slower timed music requiring more rhythm and technique. Our Intermediate Class learns Treble Jig, Hornpipe, and Traditional Set dances to understand how the technique learned in prior classes can be utilized in hard shoes.

Preliminary Champion Class

At the Preliminary Championship level, our dancers have become accustomed to competition and have won 1st place in both a prizewinner light and hard shoe competition, and consistently placed 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in all other dances. In this class, we are working to improve their foot technique and rhythm.

Championship Class

At this level, our dancers have accomplished one of their goals: making it to the highest level of Irish Dancing! After focusing on all of the elements they've mastered in all the previous classes, here, they focus on becoming stronger, learning new and more intricate dance routines, and honing their abilities and skill.
